About the role… We are excited to offer a new opportunity due to the continued growth of our water framework with United Utilities. In this role, you will join the bid team, managing the Pipeline of Opportunities, Tender, Governance, and Approval processes. You will play an essential role in budget setting and reforecasting, working closely with both the Commercial and Finance teams. Collaboration will be key, as you will liaise with colleagues across various disciplines, including Design, Delivery, HSEQ, Commercial, Finance, and Procurement. This is a full-time permanent role and will be based at our office in Warrington along with working from home on a hybrid basis. There will be additional travel required to our client sites based in the Shropshire area so a full UK driving license is a requirement.
What will your day look like…
- Providing support for bid opportunities.
- Completion of governance process documents.
- Contribute to bids, analyse data to support in the tender process.
- Manage the account pipeline of opportunities.
- Support in the creation of Director approval presentations and sign off packs.
- Gathering and evaluation of information to provide complete and accurate presentations for reports.
- Engage with account stakeholders and support with resource planning.
- Facilitate and lead tender meetings.
- Identify growth areas and gaps in market or services delivered.
- Maintaining oversight of the proposal content to ensure that the client’s requirements are clearly addressed and that the finished proposal is in alignment with the organisation’s bid strategy.
- Contribute to the account risk register.
- Supporting account leads with Key Performance Measure reporting and actions.
- Providing a quarterly update to the client on Avove’s performance and promotion of additional services.
About you… We are looking for a Programme Manager with experience in a similar sector such as Utilities, Civils, or Construction. A Project Management qualification or relevant time-served experience will be considered. The ideal candidate will have a background in Estimating, Operational Delivery, or Commercial roles, and experience working within a Bid team, whether in writing or coordination.
