Our Commercial Team, supporting the successful United Utilities account, is looking for a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join us. You’ll play a key role in delivering commercial and contractual duties, supporting operational teams and ensuring full compliance with Avove’s values and processes. Your focus will be on maximising contractual entitlement and ensuring the commercial success of each project. This is a full time, Fixed-Term for 12 months covering maternity leave with hybrid working split between home and our Warrington office.
What Will Your Day Look Like…
- Support the Commercial Team to ensure full compliance with Avove systems, processes and procedures.
- Work to strict deadlines required under the contract and by Avove.
- Monitor and report on the financial performance of assigned contracts.
- Assist in establishing suitable construction contracts aligned with procurement needs.
- Prepare accurate financial statements for allocated contracts.
- Administer contract requirements, including variations and changes to the works.
- Maintain contemporary records to support claims, extensions of time and variation evaluations.
- Manage subcontractors, including payments, applications and final accounts.
- Ensure prompt submission of invoices and applications for payment.
- Support Business Development with information for PQQs and tenders.
About You…
- HNC or equivalent in Quantity Surveying (degree or RICS progression desirable but not essential).
- A clean UK driving licence.
- Experience working within a delivery team with multiple priorities.
- Strong background in commercial management.
- Experience managing NEC3 or NEC4 contracts, including target cost, fixed price and cost reimbursable mechanisms.
