About the role

We are currently recruiting Senior CAD Technicians to join our UK-wide Water Design Team, supporting a growing portfolio of Water Utilities projects. The role involves delivering designs for water and wastewater, infrastructure, and non-infrastructure schemes as part of a multi-disciplinary team, across all stages from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and commissioning.

Location: Due to the nature of the role, we are open to remote working; however, our design offices in Birmingham, Glasgow, Warrington, and Durham are available for use.

Responsibilities

  • Follow project controls, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Support the design team and deliver outputs to company and client CAD standards.
  • Apply BIM knowledge and support its implementation.
  • Supervise junior technicians when required.
  • Contribute to water and wastewater design solutions.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate risks to programme delivery.
  • Adhere to Quality Management and health & safety (including CDM) requirements.

Skills/Experience required

  • Relevant degree or technical qualification (HNC/HND/apprenticeship).
  • Basic understanding of water/wastewater design (or transferable civil experience).
  • Competent in the use of Civil 3D and Revit.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and IT (MS Office) skills.
  • Team player with ability to meet deadlines and support others.
  • Client-focused, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Strong awareness of health & safety.
