About the role

Avove is seeking to appoint a Lead HSE Advisor to report to the HSEQ Director and support the Severn Trent Framework. This pivotal role involves leading the HSE team, delivering the framework’s HSE strategy, ensuring compliance, supporting bids and training initiatives, and building strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners to drive a positive safety culture.

Location

Due to the nature of the role, we welcome applications anywhere in the Severn Trent region (East & West Midlands).

Responsibilities

  • Owning and delivering the Framework HSE Strategy alongside the Framework Director
  • Support and attend the regional senior leadership team meetings
  • Leading the regional HSE team
  • Set targets for the team around audit frequency and engagement
  • Support framework bids
  • Inductions for new starters
  • Training of Deponent and development of system to support account
  • Understand the relevant client requirements and implementing as necessary
  • Working with supplier chain to ensure they stay safe and follow account and company standards
  • Work with BSI when relevant to maintain the ISO standards
  • Create a positive and collaborative working relationship with the client
  • Maintaining the relationship with the STW Integrated assurance auditing team

Skills/experience Required

  • Demonstratable experience within a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Environmental awareness
  • Experience within construction, civils, or utilities sectors
