Following the major expansion of the SPEN network, we are excited to announce that the contract has now been successfully extended. As part of this growth, we are pleased to introduce an exciting opportunity for a Framework Manager to lead the delivery of the contract.

As a Framework Manager, youll lead on full delivery of our Vegetation Management programme, ensuring all pre-planning and preparations are undertaken to facilitate safe and efficient on-site operations meeting Client, Contract, Safety, Budget and Quality standards. In this fast-paced, potentially 24/7 environment you will monitor performance against Client and Contract KPIs to ensure delivery of an excellent service with outstanding value.
You and your team will work closely with Clients, Supply Chain Partners and Key Stakeholders to manage efficient delivery through an optimum mix of focussed internal teams and expert external partners. This is a full-time permanent role operating out of our offices in Chorley or Warrington, primarily working on a hybrid basis from home and office whilst supporting on site activities across the entire SPEN Northwest geographical area.
What will your day look like
- Provide leadership, coaching and development opportunities to team members and supply chain partners to ensure high standards of performance
- Plan, coordinate and execute works to meet contractual requirements, holding regular progress reviews and collaborative planning sessions
- Monitor programme delivery and financial performance, identifying risks early and taking effective action in timely fashion to stay on programme and on budget
- Work closely with support functions (design, customer experience, planning, streetworks) to ensure effective coordination of project activities
- Drive productivity and cost-efficiency across throughout
- Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture, ensuring compliance with Avoves safety systems, sustainability focus and clear ethical values
- Ensure a high-quality customer experience, handling complaints professionally and promptly
- Carry out regular on-site Leadership visits, maintaining effective communications to keep teams informed with key updates
About you
- An experienced Framework / Operations Manager, ideally with a background in Vegetation Management or Power Utilities
- A proven track record in managing contracts from start to finish with a strong knowledge of NEC contract arrangements
- Strong leadership skills and team management capabilities with a focus on performance and results
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align operations with business goals and deliver high efficiency across functions
- Skilled in identifying and driving process improvements
