About the role
We’re looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer with an interest in Water and Wastewater Engineering to join our Design & Construct (D&C) team. Based in Brighouse, this hybrid role (2–3 days in‑office) offers the chance to work on exciting infrastructure projects—from network design to treatment facilities—through all stages of delivery. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, learning from senior engineers and contributing to projects that meet technical standards, budgets, and deadlines. This role is a September 2026 start.
What a typical day could look like
- Supporting design‑related activities during the construction phase of projects.
- Gathering, reviewing and analysing information, and clearly communicating findings.
- Assisting with the delivery of project requirements to meet client specifications, in line with relevant standards and guidance.
- Working with increasing confidence under guidance and developing the ability to review work with support from more experienced colleagues.
- Taking part in site visits, surveys and inspections as part of the learning and delivery process.
- Assisting with the preparation and review of feasibility studies, inspection, assessment and technical reports, ensuring outputs follow Avove procedures and required formats.
- Working in line with the company’s Integrated Management System, including Health & Safety, Environmental and other relevant regulations.
- Supporting the preparation and checking of design approaches, calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
About you
We’re looking for graduates who are curious, creative, and ready to collaborate to create change and bring fresh perspectives. You’ll bring insights from your education and life experiences, and we’ll empower you to make a real impact. You should be graduating in 2026 or already graduated from your Electrical Engineering Degree. You’ll be digitally confident, a clear communicator, and able to collaborate with others while also taking initiative. We value organisation, attention to detail, and a desire to keep learning. An Electrical Engineering degree is required to meet current entry requirements for professional qualifications such as CEng or IEng through IET or equivalent. This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Visa process. Applicants must therefore have, and maintain, an alternative right to work for the duration of employment.
