What You’ll Do
- Support the day‑to‑day care and learning of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging, age‑appropriate activities, including working with individual pupils and small groups.
- Help to develop pupils’ key skills to support their learning and development.
- Support the preparation and organisation of learning resources and classroom materials.
- Help to maintain a safe, clean and stimulating learning environment.
- Assist with the supervision of pupils during classroom and school activities.
- Support children with personal care routines, including feeding and toileting where required.
- Assist with monitoring and recording pupils’ progress and developmental needs.
- Observe children’s development and contribute to learning records and assessments.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and whole‑school policies and procedures.
- Work towards the relevant apprenticeship framework and complete training and coursework within required timescales.
- Undertake duties associated with the role of a Teaching Assistant to support ongoing training and development.
- Complete a minimum of 6 hours per week dedicated to apprenticeship training and study.
