As the Electrical Team Leader, you will lead a multi-disciplined diagnostic team, working 12-hour days to respond to breakdowns and develop repair strategies. You will support the department\’s Shift Management team, including Production and Engineering, to ensure safety, quality, and production plans are met. The team is flexible and multi-functional, with individuals with specific knowledge of each department. The role requires a high technical ability, problem-solving skills, and a Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) mindset. The ideal candidate will be able to work in all departments and gain working knowledge using local team experience.

The Role of the Electrical Team Leader Working days in the Mill
- The role involves leading a multidisciplinary team of skilled and apprentice craftsmen to improve performance and reliability across the workplace. They plan labour and material requirements, monitor team members and contractors, and assist in technical and safety training.
- They also undertake technician roles, carry out PPM inspections, and coordinate and supervise other services and contractors. They deputise for 1st Line engineering management, write and review risk assessments, and ensure business health and safety instructions are followed
- They use the maintenance management system for maintenance activities, participate in plant improvement projects, and respond to breakdowns on their own initiative. They also deliver business communications to the team, including performance and safety briefs.
- Training and support will be provided to assist you in meeting these requirements.
- The opportunity to pursue academic and non-vocational managerial qualifications to support the role is also available and encouraged.

Knowledge And Experience
- The candidate should have a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship, sound plant engineering knowledge, and experience in industrial systems such as hydraulic systems, pumps, heavy machinery, water cooling systems, conveyor systems, dust extraction systems, robotics, PLCs, and AC/DC circuits.
- They should be self-starting, capable of leading small teams, and able to work with cross-functional groups. They should have strong problem-solving skills, experience working under permit systems, and a customer-focused attitude. They should also understand prioritisation with current resources.
