We have exciting opportunities for Experienced Electrical Team Leaders to join our Team at Stocksbridge.
We have numerous vacancies across departments, one of which is Leading our Crane Team, along with other departmental roles.
As an Electrical Team Leader, you will be part of a multi-disciplined diagnostic team responding to breakdowns & developing repair strategies. You will support the departments Shift Management team (Production and Engineering) to ensure Safety, Quality, and Production Plans are all met.

The Role of the Electrical Team Leader

  • As Electrical Team Leader, you will be expected to have knowledge of all the below and be focused on management of Safety, Health & Environment, and people. You should have a high technical ability and be the first point of call for problem solving. You should have a Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) mindset and be able to suggest inspection improvements and failure reduction measures.
  • The Electrical Team Leader will be required to direct their team to carry out PPM – Pre Planned Maintenance in line with the schedule set on the CMMS and fault find on all our equipment and control systems, to identify solutions to the problems which arise and to implement these with your team to ensure our continuous production schedules are met. Training and support will be provided to assist you in meeting these requirements.
  • The Electrical Team Leader will deliver business communications to the team (business performance safety briefs).
  • The Electrical Team Leader will be expected to learn and lead with their multi-functional and flexible team in knowledge of all departments.
  • The Electrical Team Leader will provide an operation and maintenance service to the overall site. This will involve lone working, planning & delegating activities of Team Members and contractors, through monitoring & controlling attendance & holidays and assisting in delivery of technical & safety training.
  • They will plan labour & material requirements for plant needs as specified by Section Engineers.
  • Write and review risk assessments, method statements, and procedures for example JTD’S.
  • The Team Leader will be expected to use their own initiative in response to breakdowns.
  • The Team Leader will be involved in Improvement Planning.
  • Ensure business health and safety instructions are followed, for example Working at Height, Hot Work, Confined spaces through both planning and supervision.
  • The Team Leader will deputise for the 1st line Engineering Management.
  • The Electrical Team Leaders role will use the Maintenance management system to its full capability for maintenance activities.
  • Manage the permitting system for the department ensuring that all isolations/immobilisations are correct and implemented prior to authorising work.

Required of the Electrical Team Leaders

  • A recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship (Preferably HNC but minimum ONC level or equivalent).
  • Sound plant engineering knowledge and experience of industrial systems such as:
  • AC & DC circuits
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Pumps, drives, and gearboxes
  • Heavy machinery
  • Water cooling systems
  • Conveyor systems
  • Dust extraction systems
  • Robotics and PLCs
  • Self-starting driven individual capable of leading a small team.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to methodically fault find any issues to root cause and front-line rectification.
  • Experience of working under permit systems previously or has knowledge of how permit systems operate.
  • A customer-focused attitude with an understanding of prioritisation with current resources.
  • The Working Pattern of the Electrical Team Leaders

    The Working Pattern of the Team Leaders will depend on the department they are leading. The rota patterns will either be days only or days and nights.
