An experienced plant-based engineer is needed to join Liberty\’s Stocksbridge facility to promote continuous improvement efforts and drive sustainable outcomes. Reporting to the Department Engineer, the engineer will lead the engineering function within their area, engaging with team members and technical specialists to improve operations. They will actively drive, monitor, and maintain the engineering blueprint, adhering to change and design control procedures. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively across various stakeholders to ensure optimal business outcomes.

The Role of the Electrical Section Engineer Stocksbridge Mill
- The role involves ensuring compliance with Liberty Speciality Steels (LSS) policy and legislation, monitoring and controlling engineering resources and materials, developing maintenance and inspection schedules, providing technical and engineering expertise to production and quality managers, identifying development opportunities, and assisting in the training and development of a multi-discipline engineering team.
- The individual also leads investigations, identifies root causes, and implements solutions to problems within their area of responsibility.
- They also monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) for their area of responsibility.
- The individual is a performance-oriented professional with leadership potential, driven by exceeding expectations and delivering excellent results.

Training /Knowledge /Experience
Required of the Electrical Section Engineer Stocksbridge Mill
- Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC or higher).
- Plant engineering experience with three phase systems, AC and DC equipment, and PLC experience.
- Experience in heavy industry environments.
- Detailed knowledge of complex processes and associated machinery and control systems.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Understanding of risk management.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with a CMMS.
