What you\’ll be doing:
This is a dual-focused role combining legal leadership for Avon’s UK market with global legal support for technology and digital initiatives. You’ll advise on a wide range of legal matters including commercial contracts, data privacy, digital platforms, and emerging technologies. You’ll also lead the legal strategy for the UK business, supporting senior stakeholders and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across jurisdictions, influence strategic decisions, and contribute to Avon’s global legal and digital transformation.
Key responsibilities:
- Advising on global technology-related legal matters including SaaS/cloud services, IP, AI governance, and cybersecurity
- Drafting and negotiating complex commercial and technology contracts
- Supporting cross-border legal needs for product, engineering, and IT teams
- Leading legal operations and compliance for the UK market across areas such as data protection, employment law, and consumer law
- Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to manage legal risk and drive business outcomes
- Representing the UK legal function in leadership forums and contributing to global policy development
What we\’re looking for:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 7+ years’ post-qualification experience
- Strong background in technology law and UK commercial legal matters
- Experience working in fast-paced, global environments with cross-border teams
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to lead projects independently
- Comfortable operating in dynamic environments and influencing at all levels
- A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving
