The project / program manager is responsible for leading the business through successfully managing projects / programmes through initiation, planning, execution into manufacture, product launch and delivery to the business or customer. The project / programme manager also has the responsibility to manage bids, undertake improvements and drive through product variations.

Responsibilities
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical & commercial feasibility and compliance can be achieved; responsible for adherence to procurement department operating procedures including compliance to regulations.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and status reports.
- Coordinating internal and external resources/vendors for the execution of projects.
- Reviewing proposals and Reporting budgeting and cost analysis for projects.
- Designing projects, estimating budgets, scheduling timelines, assigning tasks and evaluating team progress.
- Writing progress reports.
- Delegating and collaborating.
- Tracking and analysing progress.
- Planning and budgeting.
- Leadership and team management.
- Managing projects through uncertainty with risk planning, establishing mitigations and contingency plans communicated to the project team.
- Communication both internal and external.
- Assuming total responsibility for the management of allocated programmes and projects.
- Achieving high performance on all facets of programme delivery, including operational and budgetary margins, accurate forecasting and delivery to milestones.
- Maintaining total and complete understanding of each contract and programme under the manager’s control.
- Defining, communicating, executing & monitoring the programme plan schedule and prioritising work packages and budgets for each contract/programme, in line with contractual requirements.
- Chairing and presenting at programme meetings (design, progress, contract reviews and gate reviews) in line with the NPI process.
- Detailing and reporting contract issues, priority and risks at contract reviews, production and customer reviews.
- Managing and reporting fiscal performance of the program(s) and adjusting the plan as needed.
- Maintaining effective working relationships with customers, project stakeholders and suppliers to meet or exceed expectations.

Experience
