Job Title: Project Program Manager
Location: Melksham, UK
The project / program manager is responsible for leading the business through successfully managing projects / programmes through initiation, planning execution into manufacture, product launch and delivery to the business or customer. The project / programme manager also has the responsibility to manage bids, undertake improvements and drive through product variations.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical & commercial feasibility, compliance can be achieved. Responsible for adherence to procurement department operating procedures including compliance to regulations.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including project plans schedules, budgets, risk registers and status reports.
- Coordinating both internal and external resources/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Reviewing proposals and reporting of the budgeting and cost analysis for projects
- Designing projects, estimating budgets, scheduling timelines, assigning tasks and evaluating team progress.
- Writing progress reports.
- Delegating and collaborating.

- To assume total responsibility for the management of allocated programmes and projects.
- To achieve high performance on all facets of programme delivery, operational and budgetary margins, accurate forecasting and delivery to milestones.
- To have total and complete understanding of each contract, and programme under the programme manager’s control
- Define, communicate, execute & monitor the programme plan schedule and prioritise specific to individual contracts and programmes, in line with agreed contractual requirements, with appropriate work packages, key milestones and budgets for each stage of package
- To hold, chair and present at programme meetings such as design, progress and contract reviews and gate reviews in line with NPI process
- Detailing and reporting contract issues, priority and risks, informally and formally at contract reviews, production meetings and customer reviews.
- Manage and report fiscal performance of the program / programs, adjusting the plan in accordance with programme needs
- Maintain effective and good working relationships with customers (internal and external) ,project stakeholders and suppliers where appropriate to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.

Education
- Engineering degree.
- APM certified
- Having a bachelor’s degree or master\’s degree in a related field, and proven experience in project management is desirable.

- Ability to work with teams at all levels of the business

Experience
Demonstrate project management experience, identifying ownership and delivery of high value programs in challenging situations, preferably engineering related programs
- Training in project management disciplines preferably APM or similar
- Use of project management resource tools such as MS project and earned value
- Commercial knowledge – contractual, scope control, negotiation
