A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join the night team within a welcoming residential care setting in Treharris, South Wales. Supporting up to 24 residents, this well-established service provides exceptional person-centred residential care within a warm, welcoming and home-from-home environment. The service offers comfortable living areas and a supportive atmosphere, creating a positive environment for both residents and staff.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the night shift, supporting the care team while delivering the highest standards of care. You will be passionate about promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing, ensuring every resident receives safe, compassionate and person-centred support throughout the night.

Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the effective running of the night shift
- Supervising and mentoring Care Assistants
- Delivering high-quality person-centred care
- Administering and recording medication safely where required
- Supporting residents with personal care and overnight needs
- Maintaining accurate care records and documentation
- Promoting dignity, choice and independence
- Ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents
- Building positive relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues
- Responding promptly and professionally to residents' needs
What we're looking for:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or in a similar role
- Medication administration experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A caring, reliable and professional approach
- Passion for delivering outstanding residential care
- A commitment to providing exceptional person-centred support
- Flexibility to work permanent night shifts
