The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant (Nights), you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care throughout the night, while supporting and leading the care team on shift.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting care staff on night shifts
- Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
- Supporting residents with night-time routines and needs
- Administering medication (training provided if required)
- Maintaining accurate care plans and documentation
- Ensuring a safe, calm, and reassuring environment overnight
- Promoting dignity, comfort, and wellbeing at all times
About You
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior care role within a residential or care home
- A compassionate, calm, and proactive approach
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Medication training (desirable but not essential)
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
