Pay: Β£13.50 Per Hour Avon Search is delighted to be recruiting for a Chef on behalf of a highly regarded, award-winning, family-run residential care home located in the picturesque village of Cawston, just 11 miles from Norwich. The experienced team provides specialist support for older people, including those living with dementia, physical disabilities and mental health conditions. Nutritious, freshly prepared meals are an important part of daily life within the home, helping to promote residents' health, wellbeing and enjoyment. Bright communal lounges, attractive gardens and welcoming dining areas create a pleasant environment where residents can socialise, relax and enjoy quality home-cooked food. As an Assistant Chef , you will work alongside the Head Chef to prepare nutritious, appetising meals that meet residents' individual dietary requirements while maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness. Assisting with the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations Preparing meals to accommodate special diets and nutritional needs Maintaining excellent food hygiene and infection control standards Ensuring the kitchen is clean, safe and fully compliant with Health & Safety regulations Helping to create an enjoyable dining experience for residents Previous experience in a professional kitchen, care home or hospitality environment is desirable A passion for preparing fresh, nutritious food Knowledge of food hygiene and Health & Safety procedures Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one) 13.50 per hour ~ Part Time β 30 hours per week ~ Paid breaks ~ Ongoing training and development ~ Opportunity to make a meaningful difference to residents' wellbeing through quality dining experiences
