Full Time Position

Are you an experienced Home Manager with a strong background in residential elderly care and dementia care? We are currently recruiting for an experienced Home Manager to lead a well-established residential care home set within five acres of beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, close to Newport Pagnell. This is an excellent opportunity for an established care professional to take responsibility for a stable, well-run home with an experienced and long-standing team. The home currently supports around 30 residents and provides residential care for elderly and frail individuals, including those living with dementia.

The service has a strong reputation for providing high-quality, person-centred care, with a genuine focus on dignity, choice, respect and maintaining each resident's individuality.

As Home Manager, you will play a key role in leading the team, maintaining the home's positive culture and ensuring consistently high standards of care and compliance.

About the Home

The home is a family-owned residential care service situated within approximately five acres of attractive Buckinghamshire countryside. The service is registered to accommodate up to 35 residents and currently supports around 30 individuals with a range of care needs, including elderly and frail residents and people living with dementia. The home provides a warm, homely environment where residents are encouraged to maintain their independence and individuality.

The home offers:

  • Residential care for elderly and frail residents
  • Support for individuals living with dementia
  • Long-term residential care and respite care
  • A peaceful countryside setting
  • A well-established and experienced staff team
  • A warm, homely environment
  • Individualised care tailored around residents' needs and preferences

The home places great importance on getting to know each resident as an individual — understanding their background, preferences, likes and dislikes and using this knowledge to provide truly personalised care.

The Ethos

The home's philosophy is centred around quality care, dignity, choice and respect. Residents' wishes and preferences are at the heart of the care provided, with the team taking the time to understand what matters to each individual. This includes everything from food and drink preferences to hobbies, interests and daily routines. There is also a strong belief that great staff are the greatest asset to a care home. The service is committed to valuing, listening to, developing and retaining its team, recognising that a happy and supported workforce directly contributes to the quality of care residents receive. Consistency is particularly important, with familiar and friendly faces helping residents feel comfortable, secure and at home.

The Role

As Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the operational leadership and day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance and team performance are maintained. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and developing the existing care team
  • Maintaining a positive, resident-focused culture
  • Ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is consistently delivered
  • Maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation
  • Overseeing care planning, audits and quality assurance
  • Managing staffing, recruitment and rotas
  • Supporting staff development, retention and performance
  • Building strong relationships with residents, relatives and external professionals
  • Ensuring the home remains a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment
  • Supporting occupancy and maintaining the home's strong reputation

About You

  • Current or recent experience as a Registered Home Manager
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance

  • A confident, compassionate and visible leadership style
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience leading and developing an established team
  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care
