The Role As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, tidy, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues. You will help ensure the home remains comfortable and hygienic, supporting residents' wellbeing and quality of life. Your responsibilities will include: Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and other facilities. Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home. Changing bed linen and ensuring bedrooms are clean, fresh, and comfortable. Keeping communal spaces tidy and welcoming. Following infection prevention and control procedures. Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly. Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or health and safety concerns. Respecting residents' privacy, dignity, and personal belongings. Working collaboratively with the wider team to maintain a homely environment. Helping create a pleasant atmosphere where residents feel comfortable and valued. About You We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and conscientious individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation. The ideal candidate will have: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably in a care home or similar setting. A good understanding of cleaning standards and hygiene practices. Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. A caring, respectful, and approachable manner. A flexible and positive attitude.
