Set within seven acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, this elegant country house offers a peaceful and homely environment for up to 36 elderly residents requiring residential care. The home combines character and comfort with high standards of care, creating a supportive setting where residents are encouraged to maintain their independence while receiving personalised care tailored to their individual needs. Residents benefit from a welcoming atmosphere where dignity, respect and wellbeing remain at the heart of everyday life.

The Role
As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff. You will work as part of the wider team to ensure the home is maintained to a high standard, helping to create a pleasant and homely environment for residents to enjoy. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning residents' bedrooms and communal areas to a high standard
- Maintaining cleanliness throughout the home
- Cleaning bathrooms, corridors, lounges, dining areas and other shared spaces
- Changing bedding and maintaining residents' rooms as required
- Ensuring cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and appropriately
- Following appropriate infection prevention and control procedures
- Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff
- Working respectfully around residents and taking care not to disturb their comfort and routine
- Supporting a warm, welcoming and homely environment
- Working closely with the care and wider housekeeping team
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation at all times
Working Hours
18 Hours per Week | 3 x 6-Hour Shifts | 9:00am – 3:00pm | £12.75 per hour + Paid Breaks
About You
- Previous housekeeping, cleaning or domestic experience is desirable
- Experience within a care home, hotel or similar environment would be advantageous
- Reliable, hardworking and conscientious
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Caring, respectful and considerate towards elderly residents
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised and able to manage daily cleaning responsibilities effectively
- Committed to maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment
- Positive attitude and professional approach
