About the Service
An established family-run residential care home, operating since the late 1970s, is seeking a Care Assistant to join its dedicated team in Longfield for up to for 24 residents. The service provides a warm, caring, and supportive environment for older people living with an early-stage diagnosis of dementia.
The home is set within a characterful property dating back to the 17th century and has undergone a number of thoughtful modernisations and refurbishments to enhance its homely feel. With well-maintained gardens and close proximity to local amenities, residents are supported to enjoy a versatile and fulfilling lifestyle.
The service is committed to delivering high standards of person-centred care, with staff carefully selected for their compassion, professionalism, and skill, while working in line with Care Quality Commission (CQC) expectations.
The Role
We are recruiting an experienced and compassionate Care Assistant to support residents within this friendly and well-established residential setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred care while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
You will be an integral part of a close-knit care team, helping to ensure residents feel safe, respected, and truly at home.
Key Responsibilities
Providing personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
Supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing
Assisting with meals, hydration, and light household duties
Delivering compassionate care, including end-of-life support when required
Maintaining accurate electronic care records and care plans
Promoting dignity, independence, and confidentiality at all times
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Care Assistant within a residential care setting
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
Medication administration experience xiskglj or willingness to undertake training
A caring, professional, and reliable approach
Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
A genuine passion for supporting older people living with dementia
