This modern, purpose-built home provides high-quality residential and personal care within a welcoming and supportive environment. Home to 36 residents, the service offers bright, spacious en-suite bedrooms that residents are encouraged to personalise, helping to create a true home-from-home atmosphere. Residents enjoy a choice of comfortable lounge areas, dedicated dining and activity spaces, and attractive, accessible gardens where they can take part in seasonal planting and outdoor activities. A range of additional services, including physiotherapy, chiropody, optician and hairdressing appointments, further enhance residents' wellbeing and quality of life. The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the care team while ensuring residents receive outstanding, compassionate care. Working closely with the wider care team, you will lead by example, provide guidance to colleagues, and help maintain the highest standards of care within a safe, friendly and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting the care team throughout each shift
  • Delivering high-quality, person-centred residential care
  • Assisting with personal care and promoting independence
  • Supporting medication administration where required
  • Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any changes
  • Completing accurate care documentation and handovers
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the care team
  • Promoting a safe, caring and positive environment for residents, relatives and colleagues

About You

We're looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant who enjoys leading a team and making a genuine difference to people's lives. You will have:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or similar role within a residential care setting
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Experience supporting older people with a range of residential care needs
  • Medication administration experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A caring, reliable and proactive approach
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional person-centred care
