The experienced team supports residents with a range of care needs, including dementia, physical disabilities, mental health conditions and old age. Set entirely on one level, the home features attractive gardens and outdoor spaces that play an important role in residents' wellbeing, providing peaceful areas to relax, socialise and enjoy the changing seasons.

The Role

As the Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining the home's gardens and outdoor spaces to the highest standard, creating attractive, safe and enjoyable surroundings for residents, visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining lawns, flower beds, shrubs and borders
  • Planting seasonal flowers, plants and bulbs
  • Pruning trees, hedges and shrubs as required
  • Watering and caring for plants and landscaped areas
  • Keeping pathways, patios and outdoor areas clean, tidy and safe
  • Carrying out general grounds maintenance and minor outdoor repairs
  • Ensuring gardening equipment is maintained and used safely
  • Working with the home to create enjoyable outdoor spaces for residents to relax and participate in gardening activities where appropriate

About You

  • Previous experience in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance
  • A passion for horticulture and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces
  • Good knowledge of plants, lawns and seasonal garden care
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
  • Reliable, hardworking and physically fit
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety when using gardening equipment
  • Friendly, approachable and respectful when working around residents and visitors
