The Role
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating a stimulating, engaging, and enjoyable environment for residents through a variety of meaningful activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering a varied programme of activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities
- Encouraging participation and social interaction among residents
- Organising group activities such as arts & crafts, music, games, and gentle exercise
- Coordinating seasonal events, celebrations, and themed days
- Supporting one-to-one activities for residents who prefer quieter engagement
- Making use of the home’s gardens and communal spaces for activities
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Promoting wellbeing, independence, and quality of life
About You
- Previous experience in an activities role or care setting (desirable)
- A creative, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
