We have a new exciting role of Lead Practice Nurse who will be responsible for the delivery of practice nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population. An interest in Diabetes is desirable and if not trained training will be given. This role will be based on Band 7 pay scale, although we do not work to agenda for change this is for reference only. We are looking for someone to work 35 hours per week, days to be negotiated but ideally 4 to 5 days would be desirable. there will be the need to work some saturday mornings to cover specialised clinics. This is paid as overtime.

Main duties of the job

The Lead Practice Nurse is responsible for the clinical leadership, management, and strategic direction of the practice nursing team, including Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants (HCAs), and phlebotomists. The post holder will balance high-quality, direct patient care with operational leadership, driving quality improvement, local clinical governance, and compliance.
