Medical Administrator – UWE Frenchay Campus

Job summary

This role is based working at UWE Frenchay campus health centre.

You must be flexible, willing, have good numeracy and literacy skills and overall be a fab person to fit into our friendly hard working team. No previous experience of working in GP Practice is required as you will receive full training.

Main duties of the job

  • Data processing involving registering new patients.
  • Checking and ensuring the integrity of electronically received records from other GP Practices.
  • Maintaining structure in the computerised record when recording new information.
  • Ensuring that information from letters and other notifications received are coded onto the clinical computer system accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Assisting GPs with queries related to medical records.
  • Supporting colleagues within the administration team with other duties as appropriate and required.

To work in a team under the guidance of the Practice Manager/Operations Manager to carry out the following:

  • Data Processing to ensure new patients are recorded onto the clinical system accurately and efficiently
  • Ensuring that patient information received is recorded onto the patient record and coded accurately.
  • To support colleagues in the administration team with any other duties when required.
