Health Care Assistant – The Orchard Medical Centre

Job summary

The Orchard Medical Centre are looking to recruit 2 part time, enthusiastic and experienced Health Care Practitioner to join our friendly nursing team within a dynamic and progressive primary care environment. These roles are only suitable for candidates with experience as a HCA. The role involves a range of services including phlebotomy, ECG\’s, wound care, suture and clip removal, NHS health checks, injections and immunisations.

There are 2 24 hour roles available. For the right candidate full time or alternative hours may be considered.

Main duties of the job

The role involves managing own caseload of patients autonomously. This will include wound care, removal of sutures and clips, phlebotomy, ECG\’s, blood pressure, annual health checks.

With correct experience and/or training this can also include hypertension monitoring, ear irrigation and immunisations. As a practice we are committed to upskilling our nursing team.
