An opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and motivated senior clinical or counselling psychologist to join the BNSSG Wide CEN Service. The role involves supervising qualified clinical associate psychologists (CAPs), supporting CAP apprentices, providing group reflective practice, training and clinical supervision to AWP staff, and maintaining a clinical caseload within the Bristol Complex Psychological Interventions Service. It covers Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire with flexible remote work possible. Diversity and inclusion are actively encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the team's qualified clinical associate psychologists (CAPs) and assess CAP apprentices' knowledge and skills.
- Deliver group reflective practice, training and clinical supervision to AWP staff.
- Maintain a clinical caseload within the Bristol Complex Psychological Interventions Service.
- Collaborate with the Complex Psychological Interventions Service (CPI) team, receiving support and supervision from senior CPI members.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of services and promote a compassionate, hope‐oriented practice.
Qualifications
- Senior clinical or counselling psychologist, registered Health Care Professional (HCP).
- Experience in supervising clinical staff and delivering training.
- Knowledge of evidence‐based interventions for complex emotional needs (e.g., SCM, DBT, MBT).
