Help us support our people when they need it most. We are seeking an enthusiastic, resilient and highly organised TRiM (Trauma Risk Management) Coordinator to lead and manage our established TRiM programme across the organisation. This is a Part-Time role working 22.2 hrs pw. This unique role sits at the heart of our wellbeing support provision, ensuring colleagues who experience traumatic incidents receive timely, professional and compassionate support.
Working with a dedicated network of approximately 80 volunteer TRiM Practitioners, you will coordinate the delivery of trauma risk management interventions and help embed a culture that prioritises psychological wellbeing and resilience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent emotional intelligence and a passion for supporting the wellbeing of others.
The Role
- Provide deployment of TRiM support at short notice across the organisation.
- Arrange and facilitate all TRiM Training and updates for Advanced Practitioners, Practitioners and self and ensure an appropriate level of fully trained Practitioners are deployable at all times.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate the activities of the Advanced Practitioners/Practitioners and provide support and guidance.
- To embed and promote TRiM across all levels of the organisation both operationally and culturally giving talks and presentations and developing promotional materials.
- Regularly deal with highly sensitive information relating to Traumatic events.
- Could potentially work outside of office hours if a critical incident occurs.
Please note that there may be occasions where support is required outside normal office hours following critical incidents.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of TRiM Practitioner and Advanced Practitioner Training, or willingness and ability to attend and successfully complete both courses at the earliest opportunity (travel may be required).
- Experience of records management and data protection.
- Excellent IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience within an operational policing, police staff, military or emergency services environment.
- Experience of planning, coordinating and delivering training programmes.
- Experience of coordinating teams and supporting the wellbeing of others.

This is part time position of 22.5 hours per week working flexible days. This is a blended role and therefore the opportunity to work from home is available. Blended Working/ Hybrid Working Avon and Somerset Police encourage flexible working where operationally possible. This role has been identified as a blended role. The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises. The successful applicant will have the option to discuss working arrangements with their line manager. All applicants must reside within the UK.
