We have a vacancy for an experienced Microsoft 365 professional to join our internationally recognised and award-winning Digital Experience Team. By joining Avon and Somerset Police, you will become part of a community of innovators – learning from each other and working together to find innovative solutions and delivering a first-class digital service to our employees.

Hours – Full time. In the last 12 months, our team has published a number of Power Apps, dozens of solutions powered by Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, and SharePoint. You will also be part of some exciting new projects, for example - the delivery and development of Microsoft Copilot Chat and Agents.

Being one of the subject matter experts on Microsoft 365, you will be responsible for all aspects of Microsoft 365 including building automated solutions, Teams adoption, SharePoint estate within the organisation, and being the first line of support for end users, providing education and governance control for its use. We place a lot of emphasis as a team on our way of working and culture and follow modern agile principles. The role is predominantly home working, coming into the office once per week and additionally when required. This provides a great opportunity to work in person together.

Key responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day management of Microsoft 365 configuration including Teams, SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate, and PowerApps.
  • Assist with M365 user adoption within the organisation.
  • Deliver M365 solutions for users across the organisation, using Power Platform products.
  • Training on all user-facing Microsoft 365 components.
  • Create and manage M365 groups and SharePoint sites.
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
  • Have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Experienced in supporting users with Microsoft 365 products.
  • Experience in configuring and administrating SharePoint Site Collections, both through the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre and Microsoft PowerShell.
  • A strong communicator with experience of working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • It would be beneficial if you have experience completing migrations between SharePoint Online sites.

The successful candidate for this role will have the opportunity to work from home whilst also at a secondary work location, which will be a police premises.
