Job Description
It is a requirement for Officers to reside within the Avon and Somerset Force area. If you are relocating from outside of the force area, you may be eligible for a relocation allowance of up to £8000.
As a Detective Constable, you will be part of an Investigations team conducting proactive and reactive investigations into complex and serious crimes.
We are looking for the highest quality officers to join our ranks. You must be able to commit to and deliver our force values in everything you do.
We are looking for Detective Constables for Investigative roles based in:
- Bristol (Kenneth Steele House)
- Emerson’s Green (Concorde House)
- Bridgwater (Sandy Padgett House)
- Yeovil Police Station

You Are Eligible To Transfer If You
- are transferring from a Home Office Police force
- have successfully completed the full Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP)
- have successfully completed your probationary period and are working as an accredited detective
The salary you will be offered on appointment will be equivalent to your current salary.
