Avon and Somerset Police are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to become part of our Site Facilities team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Facilities Officers to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective maintenance of our premises, grounds, vehicle fleet, and equipment.

Location: Bridgwater Police Centre – TA6 4RR.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with day-to-day facilities operations.
  • Helping to maintain high standards across our sites.
  • Coordinating the delivery and collection of goods and equipment between force locations and other destinations as required.
  • Assisting with office moves including the removal and storage of furniture.
  • Driving to and from force locations, occasionally driving outside of the force area.
  • Monitoring and responding to verbal and IT based demand for services, operating and maintaining both electronic and manual record systems.

Qualifications & experience needed:

  • Hold a full current driving licence – due to the requirement to drive all our police vehicles you must be over 21 years of age.
  • Ability to act on own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • The post holder will have previous experience in a similar environment.
  • To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
