Avon and Somerset Police are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to become part of our Site Facilities team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Facilities Officers to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective maintenance of our premises, grounds, vehicle fleet, and equipment. Your responsibilities will include assisting with day-to-day facilities operations, helping to maintain high standards across our sites, and coordinating the delivery and collection of goods and equipment between force locations and other destinations as required. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, takes pride in attention to detail, and values contributing to the smooth running of essential services.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with office moves including the removal and storage of furniture.
- Driving to and from force locations, occasionally driving outside of the force area.
- Undertaking vehicle maintenance.
- Monitoring and responding to verbal and IT-based demand for services, operating and maintaining both electronic and manual record systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a full current driving licence – due to the requirement to drive all our police vehicles you must be over 21 years of age.
- Ability to act on own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Previous experience in a similar environment.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year “checkable history” in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
