Are you proactive, motivated, and passionate about making a difference in your community?
We’re looking for two Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Support Officers to join our dedicated team working to reduce anti-social behaviour in local communities.
As a key team member, you will support neighbourhood policing and partner agencies by identifying appropriate interventions on a case-by-case basis helping to disrupt and deter individuals from engaging in anti-social behaviour.
In this role you will provide administrative support including arranging and attending multi-agency anti-social behaviour case meetings, taking meeting minutes, researching, and distributing relevant information and producing reports relating to anti-social behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching and reviewing police systems
- Managing and updating databases including inputting and extracting data
- Managing and exchanging relevant information with partner agencies in line with current legislation
- Supporting the management of perpetrators of anti-social behaviour by reviewing appropriate courses of action, preparing relevant documentation and attending meetings
- Supporting and advising Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers in relation to anti-social behaviour
Skills And Experience Required
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate information both verbally and in writing
- Skilled computer user with knowledge of databases and spreadsheets including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience of working with multi agency partners, exchanging information and making reasoned decisions
- Experience of scheduling meetings and minute taking would be beneficial
- Knowledge of anti-social behaviour tools and powers would be advantageous
Additional Information
The post holder should ideally hold a full current driving licence or be able to travel around the force area using alternative transport.
This role is blended so you will be able to work from your home address for a proportion of your working week, your secondary location can be either Bridgwater, Taunton, Yeovil or Shepton Mallet.
The temporary position is funded by Hinkley Point for a minimum of 12 months with a possibility of extension, this post will be dedicated to managing anti social behaviour from the Hinkley point community. You will still be able to choose your secondary location as above.
To be eligible to apply for this role you must have a 3 year ‘checkable history’ in the UK – ideally this means that you would have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.
