Full Time. Permanent. Location: SWROCU Northern Hub, Bristol, near BS34 6PY. If you have any concerns about your ability to regularly travel to this location using your own transport, please speak to the hiring manager before submitting an application. For applicants from one of the Regional Forces, you will be seconded to SWROCU in line with the Joint Services Agreement and remain on your home force terms, conditions and graded pay scale. The South West Regional Organised Crime Unit (SWROCU) is recruiting a Fraud and Cyber Prevent Protect Prepare Advisor to reduce the overall impact of fraud and cybercrime in the Southwest Region through raising awareness, information sharing and promoting preventative measures that allow individuals and businesses to protect themselves. You will work as part of a UK‑wide team to help make the UK the safest place to live and do business.
In this role you will:
- Educate, inform, and inspire people at all levels about fraud and cybercrime prevention.
- Identify and divert people away from fraud‑ and cyber‑dependent crime.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Computer literate with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience conveying technical matters to a non‑technical audience and proven ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
- Knowledge of threats posed by fraud and cybercrime.
- Previous experience in a fraud and cyber‑security environment or holding a relevant qualification is advantageous.
- Experience partnering with private industry and engaging with media is desirable.
- Full current driving licence or ability to travel around the region using suitable transport.
