Purpose of the Role
The Supply Chain Planner plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of stock through effective planning, purchasing, and replenishment activities. Reporting into the Supply Chain Senior Planner, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal teams, the role aims to optimise sales, stockholding, and profitability across assigned categories. Acting as a key driver of the supply chain strategy, the Planner supports team members, contributes to key projects, and ensures the efficient execution of replenishment activities to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Stock Management: Oversee stock intake and replenishment for assigned departments or brands, ensuring KPIs are met.
- Forecasting & Planning: Collaborate with suppliers to forecast demand and plan stock requirements to maximise availability.
- System Optimisation: Manage and maintain replenishment systems for optimal stock management and accurate reporting.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement, Logistics, and Retail Operations teams to align replenishment activities across the supply chain.
- Team Support: Coach and delegate tasks to Assistant Planners, ensuring effective team performance.
- Project Involvement: Support the Supply Chain Manager in implementing category strategies and contributing to key projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in demand planning, supply chain or retail planning within the Beauty category.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities, with advanced proficiency in Excel and supply chain systems, SAP Retail.
- Proven skills in planning, organising, and prioritising.
- Detailed orientated, commercially aware, and capable of working effectively in a high pressure fast paced environment.
- Experience with a multi-channel operations or large SKU ranges in high volume retail is desirable.
