PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional HR service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Do you excel in providing solutions, supporting employee relations, and championing best practices? If so, we want you to be part of our team. As a Senior HR Administrator / Support Specialist, you’ll be instrumental in helping our HR team provide a world-class service to our employees and stakeholders. You will serve as the go-to for HR inquiries, ensuring smooth HR operations across our locations. This role will be based in our Regional HR Hub in Manchester Airport, supporting circa 1200 employees across 15 locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Employee Relations: Act as the primary contact for HR-related queries, providing guidance and escalating complex issues to the HR Advisor/Manager
- HR Guidance: Offer clear, prompt advice on investigations, disciplinaries, and grievances, drafting supporting correspondence as needed
- Attendance Support: Oversee absence processes, facilitating return-to-work plans or capability-led dismissals
- Performance & Development: Partner with managers to support employee growth, development, and performance management
- HR Analytics & Reporting: Complete timely reporting on HR Metrics and conduct ID Centre Audits, utilizing advanced Excel skills
- Compliance Audits: Ensure regular system audits are completed, maintaining right-to-work records, occupational health referrals, and compliance with pay and contractual obligations
- Payroll & Compensation: Verify payroll details accurately and support annual bonus and pay reviews
- Policy Consistency: Uphold and share best practices in policy application, working collaboratively to maintain compliance with current legislation

- Previous experience as a HR generalist within a team environment
- Good understanding of current employment legislation
- A positive, resilient attitude with the ability to thrive under pressure
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- A confident, professional approach, quickly establishing credibility with stakeholders
- Friendly, approachable, and a clear communicator (written & verbal)
- Exceptional planning, organisational and time management skills
- CIPD Associate / Graduate Membership or actively working towards
- Advanced Excel skills, knowledge of SAP or Kronos desirable but not essential
