Non-Working Electrical Supervisor wanted to join a live commercial project in Southampton on an immediate start basis. This role will involve supervising subcontractor work packages and keeping the project moving ahead of the labour on site. You will be responsible for coordinating works, managing health & safety, liaising with contractors and ensuring progress is maintained across the electrical package.
The successful candidate will be confident managing subcontractors, reading drawings, coordinating daily tasks and dealing with site paperwork and reporting.
Duties will include:
- Supervising electrical subcontractors and labour on site
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Coordinating daily activities and work areas
- Managing health & safety and site compliance
- Monitoring progress and reporting blockers/issues
- Carrying out daily site inspections and checks
- Coordinating materials, permits and RAMS awareness
- Managing toolbox talks and daily briefings
- Maintaining site diaries, progress mark-ups and red-line drawings
- Liaising with package managers, contractors and other trades
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Electrical Supervisor on commercial / M&E projects
- Strong coordination and subcontractor management experience
- Ability to read drawings and manage site progress
- Good understanding of permits, RAMS and H&S procedures
- SSSTS or SMSTS required
- ECS / CSCS required
