The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support our tendering and project cost control processes. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing cost planning, estimation, subcontractor procurement and commercial reporting across electrical project portfolios from small works through to full design & build packages.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (or schedule of rates), cost plans and tender submissions for electrical contracting packages.
- Analyse drawings, specifications and scope of works to build accurate take-offs and cost assumptions.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to source competitive pricing, assess commercial submissions and manage subcontract cost risk.
- Monitor budget vs actual on projects, review cost variances, issue reports and recommend corrective actions.
