Programme Manager – M&E / Building Services (ASTA Powerproject)\\n\\nLocation: London\\n\\nSector: Mechanical & Electrical & Building Services\\n\\nContract type: Permanent\\n\\nSalary: Competitive – DOE\\n\\nAvolon are seeking an experienced Programme Manager with strong M&E and planning capability to take ownership of programme development and delivery across multiple electrical and building services projects.\\n\\nThis is a hands-on, delivery-focused role. You will work closely with engineers and project teams to understand how the job will be built, translate that into a robust ASTA Powerproject programme, and use the programme as a live management tool to drive delivery.\\n\\nThis is not a reporting or governance-only position. The programme is central to how projects are planned, sequenced, challenged, and delivered.\\n\\nKey responsibilities\\n\\n * Develop and own fully logic-linked ASTA Powerproject programmes from first principles\\n\\n * Work directly with engineers, project managers, and site teams to understand construction methodology and sequencing\\n\\n * Translate M&E installation and commissioning strategies into realistic, deliverable programmes\\n\\n * Manage programme logic, dependencies, critical path, and float\\n\\n * Update, maintain, and interrogate live programmes throughout the project lifecycle\\n\\n * Identify risks, clashes, and sequencing issues early and work with delivery teams to resolve them\\n\\n * Support change management, re-sequencing, and recovery planning where required\\n\\n * Lead and manage a small planning / programme team as the function grows\\n\\n * Provide clear, practical programme insight to senior management\\n\\nWhat we’re looking for\\n\\n * Strong hands-on experience using ASTA Powerproject (essential)\\n\\n * Solid M&E / building services construction knowledge\\n\\n * Background with an M&E contractor or main contractor delivering live projects\\n\\n * Strong understanding of installation sequencing, commissioning, and interfaces\\n\\n * Confident working directly with engineers and challenging assumptions where needed\\n\\n * Experience managing or mentoring planners / programme staff\\n\\n * Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset — programmes must reflect reality, not theory\\n\\nWhat this role is not\\n\\n * Not a purely client-side or reporting-led programme role\\n\\n * Not a generic project manager position\\n\\n * Not suitable for candidates without hands-on ASTA experience or construction sequencing knowledge\\n\\nWhy join us?\\n\\n * The programme function is taken seriously and drives delivery\\n\\n * You’ll have direct influence on how projects are planned and executed\\n\\n * Opportunity to shape and lead the programme function as the business grows\\n\\n * Work closely with experienced engineering and leadership teams
