A growing M&E Building Services contractor is looking to recruit a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their expanding commercial team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their estimating career or someone from a mechanical building services background (plumbing, HVAC, mechanical project support etc.) who is looking to move into estimating. You will be working closely with senior estimators and project teams, supporting the preparation of tenders across a range of mechanical building services projects.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of mechanical estimates and tenders
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Take-offs and quantifying mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, pipework etc.)
- Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
- Supporting cost planning and bid submissions
- Working with project and design teams to understand project scope
Requirements
- Some experience within mechanical building services (estimating, projects, design or installation)
- Understanding of HVAC, plumbing or mechanical packages
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Good numerical and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
