Role Overview
We’re seeking an ambitious and technically confident Operations Manager to help lead the next phase of our client’s growth. You’ll take strategic ownership of project delivery, people performance, and operational improvement—ensuring high standards are maintained while scaling up service delivery. A solid grounding in electrical systems is essential, along with a track record of driving business growth in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement processes that improve efficiency, margin, and client satisfaction across live projects.
- Team Leadership: Manage and motivate project managers, supervisors, and engineers—ensuring clear accountability and continuous performance improvement.
- Technical Oversight: Provide guidance and problem-solving support for complex electrical installations, maintenance schedules, and compliance.
- Project Delivery: Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and to high standards—both technically and commercially.
- Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Growth Enablement: Identify and help implement changes that allow for scalable service expansion across London and surrounding areas.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Maintain and reinforce site safety and regulatory adherence, working closely with the Compliance Manager and Quality Supervisors.
What We’re Looking For - Essential:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager (or similar leadership role) in building services, electrical contracting, or construction.
- Strong electrical bias—you should be confident managing complex electrical projects and supporting NICEIC-level compliance.
- Ability to manage and grow high-performing teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, performance metrics, and project profitability.
- Strong communication, leadership, and planning skills.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with PPM/reactive maintenance and the specific demands of social housing or occupied buildings.
- Exposure to fire safety systems and regulatory compliance (working in partnership with our Compliance Manager).
- NICEIC-related experience or prior collaboration with compliance supervisors.
