Avolon are seeking an experienced Programme Manager with strong M&E and planning capability to take ownership of programme development and delivery across multiple electrical and building services projects. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role. You will work closely with engineers and project teams to understand how the job will be built, translate that into a robust ASTA Powerproject programme, and use the programme as a live management tool to drive delivery. This is not a reporting or governance-only position. The programme is central to how projects are planned, sequenced, challenged, and delivered.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and own fully logic-linked ASTA Powerproject programmes from first principles
- Work directly with engineers, project managers, and site teams to understand construction methodology and sequencing
- Translate M&E installation and commissioning strategies into realistic, deliverable programmes
- Manage programme logic, dependencies, critical path, and float
- Update, maintain, and interrogate live programmes throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify risks, clashes, and sequencing issues early and work with delivery teams to resolve them
- Support change management, re-sequencing, and recovery planning where required
- Lead and manage a small planning/programme team as the function grows
- Provide clear, practical programme insight to senior management
What weβre looking for
- Strong hands-on experience using ASTA Powerproject (essential)
- Solid M&E/building services construction knowledge
- Background with an M&E contractor or main contractor delivering live projects
- Strong understanding of installation sequencing, commissioning, and interfaces
- Confident working directly with engineers and challenging assumptions where needed
- Experience managing or mentoring planners/programme staff
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset β programmes must reflect reality, not theory
What this role is not
- Not a purely client-side or reporting-led programme role
- Not a generic project manager position
- Not suitable for candidates without hands-on ASTA experience or construction sequencing knowledge
Why join us?
- The programme function is taken seriously and drives delivery
- Youβll have direct influence on how projects are planned and executed
- Opportunity to shape and lead the programme function as the business grows
- Work closely with experienced engineering and leadership teams
