A well-established building services and maintenance contractor is looking for an experienced HVAC Engineer with a ventilation bias to join their mobile maintenance team. This role will involve working across commercial sites throughout London and the South East, delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and servicing across ventilation and HVAC systems.

The Role

  • Maintaining and servicing ventilation and HVAC equipment while ensuring plant operates safely and efficiently.
  • Typical duties will include:
  • Planned preventative maintenance on ventilation and HVAC systems
  • Fault finding and repairs across ventilation equipment and associated plant
  • Servicing air handling units, ventilation systems and associated ductwork
  • Maintenance of VRV / VRF systems, split systems and multi systems
  • Working with chillers, pumps and chilled water systems
  • Fire damper testing and remedial works where required
  • Responding to reactive breakdowns across multiple sites
  • Maintaining accurate service records and reports
  • Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations

Ventilation Experience

The role will particularly suit engineers with experience in:

  • Ventilation systems and ductwork
  • Fire damper testing and remedials
  • TR19 guidelines
  • BS EN 15780 ventilation standards

You should also be comfortable working in plant rooms, at height or in confined spaces where required.

What We Are Looking For

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Heating & Ventilation, Ductwork Installation or Mechanical Services
  • Strong experience in HVAC maintenance and fault finding
  • Experience with ventilation systems and ductwork
  • Good understanding of health & safety legislation and safe systems of work
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Refrigeration & Air Conditioning qualification
  • F-Gas certification
  • Confined space certification
  • Electrical knowledge or installation qualification

Candidate Profile:

  • Takes pride in delivering high-quality engineering work
  • Has strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
  • Communicates well with clients and site teams
  • Can manage their own workload across multiple sites
