Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Wickford, Essex and on-site visits β Hybrid role.
Hours: 42.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Salary: Β£70,000 (depending on skills/experience)

Job Overview and key role responsibilities
As the mechanical project manager, you will be responsible for managing the successful delivery of installations that include public health systems, ventilation systems, LTHW / CHW system and air conditioning systems typically across retail and commercial projects with project values ranging between Β£500,000 and Β£1,500,000. You will be responsible for delivering the works on time, within budget, to the highest standard and meet the following criteria:
- Overseeing the workforce of employed, self-employed and sub-contractors.
- Working with the commercial and procurement team to ensure material and sub-contract packages are correctly procured.
- Communicating with various project stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, schedules and resources
- Problem solving.
- Provide technical expertise to ensure successful delivery of the works.
Ideal candidate
- Trade experience as a pipe fitter / plumber with ideally having developed into a PM role after working from the ground upwards.
- Previous experience in a project manager role
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Organisational Skills: Highly skilled at managing multiple tasks, prioritising workloads, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong emphasis on accuracy in handling project data and documentation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and other relevant tools.
- Team Player: Proactive and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Desire to progress: Motivated to grow within the role and contribute to the continuous improvement of practices and procedures
