Mechanical Commissioning Manager β Hospital Project

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Manager to join a major hospital project in Bournemouth.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established M&E contractor on a large-scale healthcare development, taking responsibility for the planning, coordination and delivery of all mechanical commissioning activities through to successful handover.
The role will be site-based and will suit someone with a strong background in mechanical building services commissioning, ideally within healthcare, acute hospital or other technically complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the mechanical commissioning process across the project.
- Develop, monitor and drive the commissioning programme.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with subcontractors, specialist suppliers, consultants and client representatives.
- Chair commissioning meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Ensure all systems are commissioned in line with project specifications, quality standards and programme requirements.
- Manage commissioning documentation, testing procedures and handover packs.
- Identify and resolve commissioning issues to maintain project delivery milestones.
- Work closely with project management and construction teams to achieve successful completion and handover.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Mechanical Commissioning Manager within the building services or M&E sector.
- Previous experience delivering healthcare, hospital, pharmaceutical, data centre or other complex MEP projects would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, heating and associated mechanical systems.
- Experience managing commissioning programmes and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to lead meetings, drive progress and manage commissioning activities through to completion.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant industry qualifications and CSCS card.
