Avolon M&E are partnered with a contractor who are looking for an experienced M&E Project Manager to lead a commercial office fit-out project valued up to Β£3m. This role requires a strong mechanical bias (approx. 60/40 split) and the ability to confidently manage both mechanical and electrical packages.
Youβll be responsible for overseeing project delivery from pre-start through to handover, leading a small team beneath you on site, and ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard. This is a flexible position β hybrid or predominantly site-based β and open to both contract and permanent candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage M&E delivery on a commercial office fit-out project
- Oversee mechanical works (primary focus) while coordinating electrical elements
- Manage subcontractors, site teams, and internal staff
- Ensure project milestones, H&S requirements, and quality standards are met
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Lead progress meetings, reporting, and project documentation
- Manage budgets, variations, procurement, and installation programmes
Requirements:
- Strong background in Mechanical Building Services or Mechanical Project Management
- Proven experience delivering commercial fit-out projects
- Ability to lead teams and coordinate M&E packages simultaneously
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Comfortable working hybrid or site-based in Kent
- Available to start in February
