About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Contracts Manager to join our team. In this pivotal position, you’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting local refurbishment and extension projects ranging from £1M to £4M, collaborating with blue-chip clients and building on a solid foundation of repeat work. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives on building strong client relationships, delivering high-quality results, and ensuring safe, efficient, and well-managed projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relations: Work closely with the company owner to foster exceptional relationships with our blue-chip clients and their representatives.
- Project Planning: Develop and implement efficient project solutions, ensuring clarity and confidence in work strategies and delivery approaches.
- Site Leadership: Be the primary contact for the on-site management team, including the Site Manager, ensuring they have the necessary resources, information, and project sequencing to execute tasks effectively.
- Safety and Quality Assurance: Promote and maintain a safe working environment while ensuring high-quality construction standards. Proactively identify risks.
- Operational Excellence: Encourage a structured, streamlined, and collaborative approach to ensure the smooth execution of projects from inception to handover.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in Site Project Management and Contracts Management, particularly in refurbishment and extension projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build confidence with clients and manage expectations.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid understanding of safe working practices, construction quality measures, and site management protocols.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
- Experience with working in partnership with a commercial and operations team.
