An established and growing residential development group is seeking to appoint a Head of Projects to join its Senior Leadership Team. This is a key strategic role responsible for leading the successful delivery of a major housing programme, including high-value residential developments of up to £50m. The organisation has an ambitious development pipeline of approximately 1,300 homes across the South West over the next five years and is looking for an experienced professional with a proven track record in delivering high-quality residential projects.
The Role
- Lead delivery of major residential schemes from inception to completion
- Provide commercial and contractual leadership, including variations and final accounts
- Oversee procurement of consultants and contractors in line with legislation and best practice
- Ensure robust health, safety and compliance standards
- Implement best-practice project management systems and processes
- Manage and develop a high-performing project management team
- Report progress, risks and performance to the Executive Team and Board
- Represent the organisation with key stakeholders, partners and funding bodies
About You
- Degree qualified with professional membership (e.g. RICS, CIOB, ICE, APM) or equivalent experience
- Strong background in delivering major residential developments within the private sector
- High level of commercial and contractual expertise
- Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and regulatory compliance
Desirable
- Construction Project Management or Technical Management Background
- Able to manage multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are set up and delivered
