The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to provide strong leadership and effective operational management across our services. This is a pivotal role, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance and team performance. You will work closely with the Head of Services, fellow Registered Managers, Human Resources, Finance and the wider Senior Management Team to deliver safe, compliant and responsive services.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring full compliance with Avocet Trust policies, procedures and service objectives
- Managing, leading and supervising staff teams to deliver high-quality care and support
- Meeting and maintaining all CQC and Local Authority standards and requirements
- Ensuring all mandatory and role-specific staff training is completed and kept up to date
- Overseeing the planning and delivery of individualised care programmes, working closely with Social Services, Health professionals and other external agencies
- Preparing and managing staff rotas to ensure services are safely and consistently staffed
- Ensuring all clients have access to meaningful activities aligned to their personal development plans
- Monitoring service performance and preparing reports relating to client outcomes, staffing, sickness, vacancies and budgetary control
About You
We are looking for a confident, organised and compassionate leader who brings both operational expertise and a strong understanding of person-centred care.
Essential / Key Requirements:
- Strong awareness of the needs of vulnerable people, including personal care, medication and communication support
- Sound understanding of relevant and current health and social care legislation
- Proven experience managing or supporting care services
- Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills
- Competent IT and administrative skills
Desirable:
- Minimum of two years' experience in a management or senior role within health and social care
- NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
