We seek the immediate services of a freelance Quantity Surveyor, confident in running a major refurbishment and new build projects.
Responsibilities
- Work within the site-based project team and be supported by a visiting commercial manager.
- Manage the commercial aspects of a project with a great variety of packages to let and manage.
- Oversee commercial management on the project, contributing to cost planning, procurement, contractor negotiation and cost control.
- Visit site and attend meetings; some flexibility can be offered.
- Support applicants with Limited Companies/CIS and PAYE as required, subject to final checks.
Contract and Logistics
- Project duration: approximately 12 months plus.
- Long-term role within a family-run business with strong systems and processes in place.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor on refurbishments and new build projects.
- Ability to operate within a site-based project team and liaise with a commercial management function.
- Availability to visit site and attend meetings with some flexibility.
- Eligibility to work and accept the PAYE/CIS/Limited Company arrangements as required, pending final checks.
