We are working in partnership with a highly regarded national housing developer who is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a residential development in Weymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to progress their career with a well-established and respected housebuilder known for quality, consistency, and strong staff development.
The Role
As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day delivery of a residential housing development, ensuring homes are built safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the daily management of the site
- Ensuring health & safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Coordinating subcontractors and trades on site
- Monitoring quality and workmanship across plots
- Assisting with inspections and NHBC compliance
- Supporting programme delivery and handovers
- Maintaining site records and reports
- Promoting a clean, safe, and well-organised site
About You
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on residential housing projects
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and build processes
- Experience with traditional housing construction (timber frame experience advantageous)
- Able to work effectively with subcontractors and site teams
- Organised, proactive, and keen to develop into a Site Manager role
Qualifications (preferred)
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
